Safaris Discover More

Make your holiday to Kenya even more magical with a truly memorable wildlife experience. Kenya is renowned for its majestic beauty and incredible biodiversity which includes around 25,000 different animal species. The west of the country is home to East Africa’s only remaining slice of tropical rainforest while Kenya’s spectacular coastline is a haven for a stunning array of bird and primate life. Africa’s Big Five inhabit its national parks which are among the continent’s finest, just waiting to start you on the journey of a lifetime.

Safaris Incredible wildlife

Combine your beach stay with a trip into the interior to enjoy some of Kenya’s world-famous wildlife

Maasai Mara

The world’s most famous game reserve, with its endless savannah, rolling plains and mountainous backdrop, the Maasai Mara has been immortalised in literature and on film. Lions, cheetahs, elephants, buffalo, zebra and giraffe roam the plains of the Mara which is the epicentre for the annual wildebeest migration, when these magnificent animals thunder across the banks of the Mara River on their onward journey from Tanzania.

Naivasha

Known as an ‘introduction to Africa’, Naivasha is a tranquil setting of breathtaking beauty on the floor of Kenya’s Great Rift Valley. Zebra, antelope and giraffe wonder freely through small reserves and lush gardens while Lake Naivasha, an ancient freshwater lake, is a bird-watcher’s paradise. Visitors may even spot one or two hippos lounging in the lake.

Shimba Hills

The Shimba Hills National Reserve is a small national park close to Diani. As one of the largest coastal forests in East Africa, the reserve is rich in flora and fauna and a must for wildlife enthusiasts. Animal species include the Sable antelope, bushy tailed mongoose and fruit bats while elephants and giraffes are often seen. The scenic Sheldrick Falls is also one of the reserve’s star attractions.

Tsavo safari

The second largest national park in the world and only a three-hour drive from the coast, the mighty Tsavo is divided into East and West. Tsavo West offers stunning views of the snow-capped peaks of Mount Kilimanjaro. All the big game can be found across the reserve, including the elusive leopard and Tsavo’s distinctive ‘Red Elephants’ which derive their name from bathing in the area’s red volcanic soil.
