The Sands at Nomad offers guests a first-class dining experience with 3 superb restaurants on site, serving a selection of dishes from around the world.
Indulging in delicious, healthy food is an integral part of The Sands’ experience. In keeping with our Thinking Green philosophy, food is expertly prepared in our kitchens by our Executive Chef and his team using locally sourced ingredients. Fruit, vegetables, herbs, spices and eggs are harvested on the Nomad organic farm, which uses the guiding principles of permaculture farming. Fish is freshly caught by local fishermen. Seafood measuring boards are used to support sustainable fishing and to ensure that undersized seafood is returned to the sea.
Located next to the swimming pool and surrounded by a canopy of trees on the edge of the Nomad forest, Riva’s is exclusive to hotel residents and offers two very different dining experiences with Riva’s Teppanyaki Table and Riva’s Grill.

Riva's Grill offers a fantastic range of dishes for all tastes. The fresh ingredients are cooked over open fire, and dinners can enjoy great flavours prepared in the tradional local way.
Renowned as the best spot on Diani Beach, Nomad Beach Bar and Restaurant boasts panoramic views of Kenya’s dazzling Indian Ocean. It is also home to Indulge Fine Dining, one of Kenya’s leading fine dining experiences.
Guests can opt for relaxed experience on the terrace or dine in style in our restaurant or at Indulge. Our a-la carte breakfast is available from 8.00am – 10:30am, serving locally grown fruits, cereals, homemade pastries, breads, hams, cheeses, fresh fruit juices as well as Kenyan tea and coffee.
An extensive lunch and dinner menu is available from late morning until 10:30pm (last orders 9:30pm), offering the finest international cuisine. Nomad’s famed Italian pizzas, homemade in our wood-fired pizza oven, are always a popular choice while sushi lovers will delight in our mouth-watering sushi menu. A special kids menu featuring homemade classics including chicken nuggets and fish fingers is perfect for our youngest guests.
When dining at Indulge, choose from a selection of set menus prepared by our Executive Chef for the table. These meals are perfectly balanced to showcase the local flavours and are paired with a number of wines from our cellar. Fresh, local ingredients Much of the produce used at Indulge is grown at our own private farm, guaranteeing its quality and organic status.
